Marc Reisman and Peter King With Mark Perna, bass, and special guests Opening act: Emerald Celtic
October 18 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
• Ex-original Houserocker Marc Reisman is Pittsburgh’s first-call harmonica player and a leader in his own right on his "Strong Way" CD. Peter King has earned attention for his fingerstyle guitar with the Steve Hackman/Mendelssohn Choir Bob Dylan project and for CDs including "The Road to Ubatuba" – often accompanied by Marc. Bassist (and Richie Cole producer) Mark Perna, singer Donna Bey and cellist Paula Tuttle will complete the Steamworks lineup, promising an unusual blend of singer-songwriter pop informed by blues, rock, jazz and Brazilian rhythms. •
• Emerald Celtic plays music that features the Celtic styles from Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Charles May writes and performs original fiddle tunes with the group; Paula Tuttle plays cello and Tom Godfrey plays guitar and flute. The trio, all of whom have classical roots, performs for concerts, festivals and educational venues in the Pittsburgh area. They focus on popular Celtic music that is lively and richly textured. •
