Becky’s primary instrument is her voice\, which has been described as “hypnotically beautiful\, present in every word she delivers\, her voice emanating strenght one moment and fragility the next” (Paul Sanchez\, Offbeat Magazine) In addition to touring as a solo artist\, Becky is currently a member of the Americana trio Just Roxie\, and Atlanta favorite 70s cover band the Susi French Connection. She also performs in a jazz project with keys player Allen Broyles (Josh Joplin Group). She has shared the stage with many artists including the Indigo Girls\, Suzy Bogguss\, Shawn Mullins\, Caroline Herring\, and Michelle Malone. SUMMARY:Cue Ball at Steamworks Creative
DESCRIPTION:A tribute to the music of the legendary Bob Dylan featuring Cue Ball! \nCue Ball was formed in 2004. Mike (Mitch) Arnold and Evan Rowles\, both formally of the blues rock band Cadillac Mac joined forces with Mark Wilcox\, Joe Johns and Tim Stewart to form Cue Ball. The band’s focus is on Folk Rock\, Blues\, Country and Irish music. Throughout the 20 + years of performing together\, the band has proved to be a launching pad for young guitarists to get exposed to live performance. John Wilcox (now with November Blue out of Nashville)\, Declan Jameson (also of Take Two and Tullycavy) and Sean Burns have all contributed to the success of the band providing virtuoso guitar work time and time again. Predominantly a cover band\, original songs are mixed into the set list. Cue Ball performs at a variety of functions and venues throughout the Pittsburgh area. The current line-up features Mitch on guitar and lead vocals\, Evan on the drums\, Joe on the bass and vocals\, Mark on guitar and Declan on lead guitar. The band has developed a substantial song list that focuses on the “Pillars of the Last Waltz” (Van Morrison\, Bob Dylan\, The Band and Eric Clapton) along with a healthy dose of the Allman Brothers.
