Mark is best known for his highly lyrical songs that often border on stand-alone poetry\, and yet he retains that most Irish of talents\, being able to whip a crowd into a frenzy with just a soaring voice and an acoustic guitar. \n \n  \nDave Newman  is the author of six books\, including Please Don’t Shoot Anyone Tonight (Broken River Books\, forthcoming 2019)\, the novella Sammy Drinks Canned Beer (White Gorilla Press\, forthcoming 2019)\, The Poem Factory (White Gorilla Press\, 2015)\, the novels Raymond Carver Will Not Raise Our Children (Writers Tribe Books\, 2012) and Two Small Birds (Writers Tribe Books\, 2014)\, and the collection The Slaughterhouse Poems(White Gorilla Press\, 2013)\, named one of the best books of the year by L Magazine. His stories\, essays\, and reviews have appeared in Gulf Stream\, Vol. 1 Brooklyn\, Belt\, Smokelong Quarterly\, Ambit (U.K.)\, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette\, and many other places. Winner of numerous awards\, including the Andre Dubus Novella Prize\, he lives in Trafford\, PA\, the last town in the Electric Valley\, with his wife\, the writer Lori Jakiela\, and their two children. He works in medical research\, serving elders. \n \n  \nBill Toms – While it’s hard to put a finger on any one sound that defines “American music\,” the compositions of Bill Toms are as close a template as any. The Pittsburgh native\, along with his band Hard Rain\, delivers a sound that takes the greatest of America’s most beloved genres and melds them into a poetic representation of the best the country has to offer. \nToms recently released Live\, an evocative rendering of his sound recorded at Pittsburgh’s Club Café. \nSoaring horns\, gritty licks\, toe-tapping rhythms\, and Toms’ own rough-hewn vocals will draw listeners in\, as well as well-deserved comparisons to the greats such as Dr. John\, Little Feat\, Springsteen\, Joe Tex\, The Blasters\, Otis Redding\, and Rufus Thomas. \n“The idea of a horn section behind my songs has been something I’ve thought about for a while\,” explains Toms.  “Albert King\, and all the Stax artists come to mind when I think of what true rhythm and blues can do. SUMMARY:Lonely Little Angel Show - Quinn Volpe
DESCRIPTION:The Lonely Little Angel Show is being held to promote and celebrate the release of Quinn Volpe’s first ep that will be released in June of 2019. The show will be on May 26th from 7-9 and tickets will be sold for $10 at the door. The show will also feature musicians Gabriella Salvucci and Avery Neely. Stickers will be sold for $3. \n  \nQuinn Volpe is a 15-year-old musician based in Pittsburgh\, PA. She is a singer-songwriter that enjoys writing music and playing the ukulele and guitar. A few of her musical influences are Sam Smith\, twenty one pilots\, Jon Bellion\, Brendon Urie\, cavetown and EDEN among many others. Quinn started writing her own music in late 2017. She performed at Mr. Smalls Theatre with Liz Berlin in July of 2018 and regularly performs at the Acoustic Cafe at her school. She is planning on participating in two music camps this summer- Real Life Music Camp at Mr. Smalls Theatre & Recording Studio and Girls Rock Pittsburgh where she will write songs and collaborate with other musicians. She will be releasing her first ep\, titled Lonely Little Angel\, in June of 2019. \nGabriella Salvucci is a   singer-songwriter and pianist from Pittsburgh. Her musical influences include the Lumineers\, the Head and the Heart\, and Twenty One Pilots. She regularly performs original songs at Tune it! Tuesdays at Black Forge Coffee House\, and recently played on the Saturday Light Brigade radio show. She is also looking forward to attending Liz Berlin’s Real Life Music Camp for the second time. Gabriella posts videos on YouTube and Instagram\, and hopes to release an EP later this year. \nAvery Neely is an up and coming 13-year-old singer-songwriter from Pittsburgh\, PA who loves to sing\, play the ukulele\, and guitar. She often opens for different artists and bands\, and also sings by herself or with friends at local coffee shops and restaurants.

DESCRIPTION:Soulful Femme \nStephanie Wellons\nV O C A L I S T\n​​​Vocalist Stephanie Wellons\, aka Stevee Wellons\, has been performing in the tri-state area for the last 25 years and is known for her high-energy stage presence and performance. In her early twenties she began her musical career. Since then\, Stevee has performed with numerous area bands and currently teaches and coaches voice at the prestigious Afro-American Institute in the Homewood Area of Pittsburgh. An experienced recording artist as well\, Stevee has recorded in Pittsburgh\, New York\, Chicago and Baltimore.
