Their journey began when husband and wife duo\, Kendell and Rick Romanelli\, began performing together in 2002. Kendell’s soulfully sweet yet powerful voice\, developed over many years of vocal experience was complimented by Rick’s bluesy accompaniment. It wasn’t long before Doug Wells (of Kids After Dark fame) joined them\, providing a solid bass foundation. In 2016\, they partnered with Rick’s lifelong friend and cousin\, Maria Elliott\, whose well crafted jazz and rock guitar styling provided a perfect fit. Chip Homer’s creative and energetic percussion stylings were the final piece of the puzzle. Second Breakfast’s repertoire consists of various musical treats from Beatles to Police and from Texas country blues to Tin Pan Alley standards.
